The interior design draws on interwar Modernism and Art Deco, combining their geometric discipline with contemporary forms and selected antiques.
In the living area, the work of André Lhote plays an important role, alongside the Cubist approach to composition based on distinct planes, lines and colour. A similar principle structures the interior: dark stone defines the strong frames of fireplaces and portals, decorative glazing divides the space, while soft, rounded furniture tempers its geometry. The paintings are not an addition to an otherwise complete scheme, but part of the same composition.
The historical references are not intended as a reconstruction of a particular style. Instead, they provide a point of departure for a contemporary interior in which art, antiques and objects from different periods can coexist without their origins being deliberately homogenised.
