The starting point for the kitchen and dining area is Calacatta Viola, used not as a single decorative accent but as a material that organises the entire composition. The stone’s distinctive burgundy veining is echoed in the colour of the island and tall cabinetry, while the geometric floor develops the same palette on a larger scale.
Pale cabinetry provides a restrained backdrop for the stronger surfaces. Its softly rounded detailing, brass accents and stone finishes refer loosely to interiors of the first half of the twentieth century, without reproducing any one historical style. In the dining area, the regularity of the built-in elements is offset by the more sculptural forms of the table, chairs and lighting.
Stone, colour and ornament are not treated as separate decorative devices. The same visual language moves between the floor, cabinetry and details, giving the open-plan kitchen and dining space a strong identity while keeping the composition coherent.
