The interior concept is based on a loose interplay of historical references rather than an attempt to recreate a single period style. A muted palette of blues, greens and greys provides continuity between the rooms, alongside decorative surfaces such as patterned ceramic floors, wall panelling and textiles.
In the living room, soft contemporary furniture is set against antiques, an East Asian cabinet, ceramics and a tapestry. The kitchen is defined by a geometric floor inspired by Victorian tile patterns and dark green cabinetry, while the bathroom refers more directly to English interiors of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries through a freestanding bathtub, a timber washstand and dark wall panelling.
Historical motifs are not treated here as a decorative costume. Instead, they become part of the design vocabulary: elements from different periods and origins are brought together to create an interior that does not depend on stylistic uniformity.
